INVITATION TO BID
 
Notice is given hereby that:
 
     EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY
    
     will accept bids for
 
      WARD ONE INDUSTRIAL PARK INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS
      Engineer’s Project #1-0030-23  
 
according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by J. Ronald Landreneau & Associates, Inc. and described in general as:
 
The Scope of work shall include all material, equipment, and labor for the following:
Construct a new asphalt road from Maxie Rae Blvd to the property line of  theEvangeline Parish Sheriff’s Detention Center and make drainage improvements along Maxie Rae Blvd.
Install new gravity sewer lines and man holes, water lines, and gas lines along the propose asphalt road and portions of Maxie Rae Blvd, Vocational Drive, and Industrial Park Road. 
Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until: _2:00 pm, local time, on the 17nd day of September  2024 , at the office of the Evangeline Parish Police Jury Meeting Room, located at 1008 W LaSalle Street, Ville Platte, LA 70586, whereas bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids may also be submitted electronically through Central Bidding at https://www.centralbidding.com.
 
Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered.  The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm on the 17th day of September, 2024. 
 
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid value, said bond or check made payable to the Evangeline Parish Police Jury.
           
Proposed Contract Documents may be examined at the office of:

and at major plan rooms in the project vicinity. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of  $250.00.  This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212.
 
Bona fide General Contract bidders may secure copies of the proposed contract documents from the office of the Engineer on the following basis:
 
1.   On any Bid submitted in the amount of fifty thousand dollars or more, a Contractor shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of paragraph A, Section 2163 of the Contractor’s Licensing Law and shall show his license number on the Bid Envelope.
 
2.   No partial sets will be issued.
 
3.  All work completed in this project shall comply with Executive Order No. 11246
     Equal Employment Opportunity.
 
4.  It is required that on any bid for this project submitted in the amount of fifty thousand  
     dollars ($50,000) or more, one dollar ($1) or more for hazardous materials or mold   
     remediation, or ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or more for Plumbing, Electrical or   
     Mechanical, the contractor shall certify licensure under R.S. 37:2150?2192 and show
     the license number on the bid envelope.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the state, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
 
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids.
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality incidental thereto, in accordance with LA Revised Statutes 38.
