Indian Springs Phase 2C Sewer Extension
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Indian Springs Phase 2C Sewer Extension will be received by Jackson County Board of County Commissioners at the office of the Purchasing Agent located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.
Bids will be opened and recorded at 2:00 PM CST (or shortly thereafter) on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners Office at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL 32448. Sealed bids can be received at the above address, or electronically via www.centralbidding.com.

Central bidding has free registration to bid Jackson County Board of County Commissioners projects. Go to www.centralbidding.com click on “Register Now!” Then click “Click Here” under Vendors:. Scroll to the bottom of the next page and click “Vendor Registration.” Read Terms and select “I have read…” button. Register your login. Then confirm registration through a confirmation email sent to the email registered.
The project consists of approximately 2634 LF of 8” PVC gravity sewer main, 8 associated manholes, 12 gravity sewer or low pressure sewer services, 4438 LF of 4” PVC force main, 7 valves, 2 air/vac valves, 1 new lift station, 1 existing lift station rehabilitation and roadway/driveway directional bores within the right-of-way. On lot services will consist of 1,750 LF of 1 ½” HDPE low pressure sewer services and 1,250 LF of 4” PVC gravity sewer services. There are estimated to be 12 residential service connections which include a gravity or low pressure sewer connection to the existing residence, abandonment of the existing septic tank, septic tank disconnections, and site restoration.
Jackson County reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Jackson County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 570.
Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available as portable document format (PDF) files e-mailed free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $_350.00__ per set, payable to “Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc.”, plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. In addition to obtaining Bidding Documents by PDF or print, Bidding Documents can be obtained through Central Bidding www.centralbidding.com at no cost the bidder. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

[email protected] . The deadline for questions is Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder.
A Bid Bond payable to Jackson County for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida.
Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Where licensing by examination by the City of Marianna or Jackson County is required, such licenses shall be obtained prior to bidding. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered.
No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids.
