Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the McFaddin NWR – Star Lake WCS Repair project.  We are having a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing to interested contractors from our bidders list at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30th. We will meet at the existing structure as shown on the plans on McFaddin NWR, Jefferson County, TX 77990 (29°41'20.79"N; 94°09'29.22"W). This site is accessible via land access – boats are not needed for this site showing.  
 
This project generally consists of the removal of 10 existing water control structures, and the supply and installation of 10 water control structures located inside of an existing concrete structure. located on McFaddin NWR. This work shall also include performing the necessary mobilization, site preparation, excavation, water control, pollution control, seeding, and other items outlined in the plans and specifications or associated with constructing the project according to the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures. The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein.
