NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Monroe County, Mississippi, will at 9:00 o’clock A.M., on the 1st day of October, 2018, at the Monroe County Chancery Building, Aberdeen, Mississippi, receive sealed or electronic bids and award contracts for one year, from the first Monday in October, 2018, to the first Monday in October, 2019, to the lowest responsible bidder for furnishing materials and supplies to Monroe County, including the Sheriff’s Department and Solid Waste Department.  Bidders MUST bid on all items F.O.B. Monroe County, Mississippi, or specifically state otherwise.  It is to be and is specifically stated that the bids received will be for a period of 12 months.

      BIDS for the purchase of the following supplies and materials in compliance with the above specifications shall be received on the following:
      (1)  Asphalt Emulsion – Must meet State Highway Department
           specifications.  Bidder must indicate Notice of “Cancellation
           Time” Prior to Delivery,  (No.)  Hours.  Cancellation time may be
           determining factor in awarding bid.
      (2)  Ready-Mix Asphalt – hot and/or cold, sand and/or limestone
           mixtures
`     (3)  Propane gas for North and South Work Stations and other locations
      (4)  Concrete slabs and accessories for bridges
      (5)  6” and 8” Grader blades
      (6)  Ready-Mix Concrete by District – in place (3000, 3500, or 4000 psi
           mix and prices for incremental increases)
      (7)  Highway Striping – including skip yellow, continuous white,
           continuous yellow and detail traffic stripe
      (8)  Crushed Washed Limestone furnished and delivered to each district
           – must meet State Highway Department specifications.  Prices are
           to be a lump sum total per ton including transportation to each
           district.  Bids with fuel adjustment clause must give fuel costs
           used at time of bids.
      (9)  Washed Road Gravel
     (10)  Clay Gravel –
             (a)  furnished and loaded – Contractor’s pit
             (b)  delivered, FOB Unit Headquarters
     (11)  Rip-Rap Rock furnished and delivered to each district.
     (12)  Traffic Signs
                A. Warning Signs – all sizes
                B. Flat Blade, Double Faced 9” variable lengths, Mounting
                   Hardware, U-Channel Post & Round Tubular Post, all sizes
                C. Regulatory Signs - all sizes
     (13)  Roadside/Herbicide Spraying Proposals
 
      SEALED bids must be filed with Clerk of the Board or by electronic submission on or before said bid time.  The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
