Notice is given that Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, Parish of Terrebonne, will receive Bids for Replacement of Existing Security Lighting Luminaires.

Separate sealed Bids will be received by Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, Parish of Terrebonne, at Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, 10264 East Main Street, Houma, Louisiana 70394, until 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at which time and place said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the item listed below. Subsequent to the opening, the Bid(s) will be evaluated and tabulated by the appropriate party/parties after which Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, Parish of Terrebonne, will act on the Bid(s), either awarding, rejecting, or holding for further advisement and/or evaluation on the following:

Project Description:

a. To replace and install seventy-one (71) existing luminaires; thirty-two (32) on the East Ramp, eighteen (18) on the West Ramp, and twenty-one (21) on the Taxiway Golf.

All Bids shall be hand delivered, sent U.S. Certified Mail with a return receipt request, or submitted electronically.

Vendors/Contractors have the option to submit their Bids and Bid bonds electronically or by paper copy. Specifications and Bid forms are on file in the office of Ronald J. Boudreaux, P.E., 118 Double H Drive, Raceland, LA 70394. Printed copies are not available from the Engineer. Bids received prior to the time of the scheduled Bid opening will be securely kept unopened. No Bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Failure of the U.S. Mail or of any express carrier or delivery service to deliver the Bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the Bid opening to be extended.

All Bids must be submitted on the Bid forms issued. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable Bid Bond with Power of Attorney and Corporate or other authorizing Resolution if applicable, payable to Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, Parish of Terrebonne, in the amount of five per cent (5%) of the Bid. This security shall be forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidders who do not execute the Contract and provide performance and payment bonds as specified. Only the Bids of Contractors and/or Subcontractors licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150, et. seq. Louisiana Legislature will be considered.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission, 10264 East Main Street, Houma, LA.

The Bid will be awarded or rejected within forty-five (45) calendar days following the date of opening of Bids.

The lowest, qualified Bid will be the one determined to offer the best advantage to Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission. Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Bids for any reason.

Successful Bidder shall furnish a current Certificate of Insurance coverage showing the types and limits of liabilities will be required.
