General Contractor Sealed Bids will be received in the Purchasing Department of the Rapides Parish School Board Office Building, (318) 449-3119, 619 Sixth Street, P.O. Box 7117, Alexandria, Louisiana 71306, until 10:00 A.M. local time, Thursday, October 18th, 2018.
 
  
 
After stamping to acknowledge timely receipt, the bids will be publicly opened and read by the Executive Committee and/or staff of the Rapides Parish School Board. Sole responsibility for proper mailing or delivery of any bid in compliance with this advertisement is that of the bidder. Any offer received after the closing time will be returned unopened.
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause, subject to R.S. 38:2211 et. Seq.
 
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Alternates in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond written by an insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana.
 
Complete Bid Documents (hard copy) may be obtained from Yeager, Watson & Associates, Inc., an Architectural Corporation, 808 Versailles Boulevard, Alexandria, Louisiana 71303-2377, (318) 445-2446, upon deposit of $100.00 for each set of documents. The deposit is fully refundable to all bona fide prime bidders upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than fifteen (15) days after the receipt of bids. The deposit of sets of documents returned later than fifteen (15) days will not be refunded.

Only complete sets of Contract Documents will be issued. Each bidder shall comply with the requirements of the Contractor’s Licensing Law, Louisiana R.S. 37:2151-2163, and shall be fully qualified to enter into Contract with the Rapides Parish School Board.
 
A PRE-BID meeting will be held at Northwood High School, 8830 HWY 1N, Lena, Louisiana, on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018, at 10:00 am.
