ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
 

Separate written sealed BIDS for a General Contract for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of:
 
LIBERTY PARK PICKLE BALL COMPLEX
 
will be received by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the CITY OF FLOWOOD herein called the OWNER at the office of the:
 
CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF FLOWOOD, FLOWOOD CITY HALL
2101 AIRPORT ROAD, SUITE A
FLOWOOD, MS 39232
 
Until 10:30 am local time on Friday, June 21, 2024 and then publicly opened and read aloud at said office. Drawings and Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall at Flowood, Mississippi.
 
Project includes but is not limited to installing 14 pickle ball courts, a restroom building, a parking lot, and a road realignment, with all related work as shown on the Plans, Contract Documents, and Specifications. The total Contract Time will be 180 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $500 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
 
A Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. local time in the Board Room of the City of Flowood at the above listed address.  Attendance by a principal, project manager or estimator of any prospective bidder is recommended but not required.
 
Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
 
The Mayor and Board of Alderman of the CITY OF FLOWOOD hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises/woman business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
 
Copies of the PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS & CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of BENCHMARK ENGINEERING & SURVEYING, LLC located at 660 Katherine Dr, Suite 301, Flowood, MS 39232 upon payment of One-Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150) per set – none of which is refundable.
 
Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder, and the Mayor and Board of Alderman of the City of Flowood, Mississippi reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities.
