The City of New Roads will receive separate sealed Bids for WSP 2023 Water Program, Claiborne Street Water Well Repair, Contract No. 23-1988-28.  The Work consists of the removal of existing 100 HP motor.  1,000 gpm pump and 150' of column pipe from the well.  Perform camera survey of existing casing and well screen.  Perform chemical rehabilitation of well screen including surging and swabbing followed by pumping to waste.  Install new 1,000 gpm pump assembly and perform well test.
 
The City of New Roads will receive Bids until 2:00 P.M. local time, May 23, 2024, at City of New Roads, 211 West Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. The outside of the Bid envelope shall be marked with the project title, name and address of the Bidder and current Contractor’s license number.

Through the requirements of the funding source, the General Contractor is reminded that per Federal Law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200-317-200-327 apply to this bid process.  This includes good faith efforts for solicitation of DBE’s and WBE’s by the Prime Contractor. 
 
AIS and Davis-Bacon Wage rates do not apply to this project but are encouraged.
 
Project to be constructed under a single prime contract.  Prime Bidder shall hold a Louisiana Water Well license.
 
Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
 
The City of New Roads reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.  No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
