Description of Basic Work: The project consists of two main components of work: opening protection and a roof retrofit of the St. Helena Parish Health. Opening protection will consist of the installation of permanently-mounted perforated metal screens, a fabric mesh hurricane shutter system, and new wind-rated entry doors. The roof retrofit will include the removal of existing roofing and the installation of a new SBS Modified Bitumen Roof.

Bids: Sealed bids must be received by the ST. HELENA PARISH POLICE JURY, Parish of St. Helena, 17911 Highway 43N, 911 & OEP Office, Greensburg, Louisiana 70441, either by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested, hand delivered, or electronically at https://www.centralauctionhouse.com no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on September 18, 2013. Promptly thereafter, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the St. Helena Parish Police Jury Meeting Room. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids.

The Information for Bidders, Bid Form, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of the Engineer/Architect for the contract; Forte & Tablada, Inc. located at 1234 Del Este, Suite 602, Denham Springs, LA 70726. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of $125. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212.

Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-bid Conference to discuss the scope of the project will be held on September 10, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Helena Parish Police Jury Building, Police Jury Meeting Room, 17911 Highway 43N, Greensburg, Louisiana 70441. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not mandatory.
