NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids for the Hernando Street Paving Project September 2024 in Hernando will be received by the City of Hernando at the City Hall (until 10:00, a.m.) on Friday, August 30, 2024 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud, (at 475 West Commerce Street,). Bidding documents may be inspected in the office of the City Engineer, Joseph F. Lauderdale, P.E. at 231 West Center Street, Hernando, MS. 38632 (901-494-2484) during normal business hours and at the Hernando City Hall at 475 West Commerce St. in Hernando.
Copies of the plans and contract documents may be obtained at the office of the project Engineer, upon payment of $30.00 for each set of plans for the project with NO REFUND. The bidder shall comply with the Mississippi State law with respect to having a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. All bids submitted must be sealed in an envelope, clearly labeling the date the bid is to be opened, and the work bid upon.
A contractor must take all necessary affirmative steps to assure that MBE/WBE businesses are contacted for this project where qualified as to any subcontracting work that may be available on the project.
Domestic Preferences for Procurements as appropriate for this project as identified in CFR200.322. is required. All contractors must comply with the Section 6002 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act as amended by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.

A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price made payable to the City of Hernando is required for the project. In accordance with the proper section of the Mississippi Code, upon being awarded a contract for the construction of this project, the successful bidder will be required to furnish the amount of not less than 100% of the Contract Amount to ensure the completion of the project and the payment of all bills for labor, materials, and services required, therefore.

Contractors must comply with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federl Awards-Subpart D in accordance with 2CFR 200.317 thru 200.327.
