505 Northeast Court Circle in Crowley, Louisiana, or by electronic bid at
www.madereng.com until
2:00 o'clock p.m. on
Thursday the
21st day of
January ,
2016 for the
“New Morse Village Hall” for the
Acadia Parish Police Jury, and shall at that time and place be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the above specified time for opening shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened to the sender. The Bidding Documents (including construction drawings and specifications) may be examined at the office of the engineer,
Mader Engineering, Inc., located at
3909 West Congress Street, Suite 101, Lafayette, LA 70506. Copies of the bidding documents may be examined at the engineer's office located at
3909 West Congress Street, Suite 101, Lafayette, LA 70506 upon deposit of $
200.00 for each complete set. Plans and specifications will be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the bid opening. In accordance with Louisiana R.S. 38:2212, deposits on the first set of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents no later that ten (10) days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to bidders, the deposit

($ 100.00 ) will be refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. There will be a
non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at the
Administrative Building of the Acadia Parish Police Jury on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. The work shall consist of the construction of a new Morse Village Hall (approximately 2,600 square foot under roof including porches) and related items as needed to complete said work. The Contractor's classification shall be Building Construction. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Such actions shall be in accordance the Louisiana R.S. 38:2214.
The Owner requires that each bidder attach to his bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equivalent to 5% of the total bid as evidence of good faith of the bidder. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided by law.
The attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
