RUNWAY PAVEMENT, RUNWAY & TAXIWAY LIGHTING, AND BEACON REHABILITATION

Sealed bids will be received until Tuesday, May 18, 2021, 10:00 AM, and then publicly opened and read at the City Clerk’s office, City of Brookhaven, 301 South First Street, Room 102, Brookhaven, MS, 39601, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete the following project: Brookhaven- Lincoln County Airport Improvements Project, Runway Pavement, Runway & Taxiway Lighting, and Beacon Rehabilitation – AIP No. 3-28-0009-017-2021.
 
Electronic bids can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com.  For any questions relating to the electronic bidding process, please call 225-810-4814.   To be included on the official bidders list you must contact Dungan Engineering at 601-823-7026.
 
Plans and Contract Documents are on file in the office of the City of Brookhaven, Mississippi.  Plans and proposals may be secured upon payment of $100.00, which is not refundable, from the office of Dungan Engineering, P.A., 120 E. Chickasaw Street, Brookhaven, MS  39601.  Official bid documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com or at www.dunganeng.com/bids.
 
A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 PM on May 4, 2021, at Dungan Engineering, 120 E Chickasaw Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601.This meeting is not mandatory, but attendance is highly encouraged.
 
Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid.  The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to City of Brookhaven.
 
Bids may be held by the City of Brookhaven for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.
 
Contract award will be contingent on receiving project funding approval.
 
The right is reserved, as the City of Brookhaven may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.
 
This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.
 
The City of Brookhaven, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, [select disadvantaged business enterprises or airport concession disadvantaged business enterprises] will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
