Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Biscuit Bayou WS-28-5 Structure Replacement project located in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.  We are having a MANDATORY SITE SHOWING to interested contractors on our bidders list at 10:00 a.m. CST on December 8, 2021. We will meet at the boat launch located at Falgout Marina (1868 Doctor Beatrous Road Theriot, LA 70397) for a short meeting. Contractors wishing to inspect the site will need to bring their own boat to access the project location (Shallow Water Vessels NOT NEEDED).
 
The Biscuit Bayou WS-28-5 Structure Replacement project consists of a vinyl sheet pile weir structures with two 48” aluminum flap gates. This work shall also include performing the necessary items outlined in the plans and specifications associated with constructing the project according to the plans.  Contract completion time is 120 calendar days.  Bid opening is 10:00 a.m. CST on December 22, 2021.

Bids shall only be accepted from Prime Contractors on DU’s prequalified contractor bidder’s list and with the necessary License Classifications required by the State Contracting Board to perform work outlined in the plans and technical specifications.  It shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor to assure that he and all subcontractors comply with all state contracting laws.  Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond.  If the bids are awarded, the successful bidder must submit a 100% performance and payment bond along with proper insurance and evidence of workmen’s compensation.
